Farewell Parade for NPCC Council Chairman, Mr Charles Chong

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and complement the following cadets for participating in the Farewell Parade for NPCC Council Chairman which was held on 8 Jan 2011. They are:

Muhammad Hussian, 3N1 (Contingent Participant)
Ng Theng Kiat, 3N1 (Reserve)
Jason Kuah, 2E2 (Reserve)
Alvin Koh, 2N2 (Reserve)

Despite the short notice in December last year, they took up the challenge to perservere through the trainings that stretched through the last week of holidays til the actual parade itself. They trained very hard in their drills given the short period of time just to ensure the success of the parade. This spirit is indeed commendable!

The reserves were positive in attitude. Knowing that they have been selected as reserves, they did not back out of the parade, thinking that they are less important. Reserves act as a back-up should any parade participants were to fall out of the contingents and this is essential. Imagine a car without spare tyres in the event it breaks down! Therefore, their positiveness deserved our applause and I am certainly sure they have benefited in polishing up their skills in their drills and gained an enriching experience over the short period of time, making new friends in the process.

For this, I thank these cadets for their forthcomingness, perservance, endurance and determination in participating in this rare and prestigious parade! You guys make BNU proud! Maintain this positive attributes and you will excel in life!

Mr Liu
