I would like to take this opportunity to commend the 9-man fancy drill squad who staged a performance during CNY celebrations on 12 Feb 2010. They are Gary (choreographer & squad commander), Phil, Hafiz, Hussain, Jaga, Jonathan, Joshua, Keith and Terence.
Despite simple movements, these cadets deserve our admiration for their courage to be on stage showcasing their talents in front of a huge crowd of teachers and students.
The process was never as simple as what the actual performance turned out to be. Tremendous amounts of effort were put into rehearsal after rehearsal right from familiarisation of movements to fine-tuning them in just two weeks. A lot of coordination is involved!
Frustrations occured along the way. It was through these frustrations that our members learnt to accept one another and strive for improvements. This process has definitely enabled cadets to understand one another better and bonded well eventually.
Cadets, you have done BNU proud once again! Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of such initiatives along your NPCC journey as cadets who value-add to BNU with a high performing culture!
